Steven Robert Wood Obituary, Death; – A man was shot and killed by his neighbor after police reported that he had broken into the neighbor’s home on Monday morning near Greeley. The Weld County Coroner identified the victim as 65-year-old Steven Robert Wood.
At 1:21 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting incident in the 4200 block of Grand Teton Road, located in the Hill-N-Park neighborhood south of Greeley, as stated in a news release from the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.
The individual who made the call indicated that he had been involved in a dispute with his neighbor, Wood, who forcibly entered the man’s residence with “an object in his hand.” Following a struggle, the man shot and killed Wood, according to the release.
The coroner’s office has announced that it will not provide any additional information at this time.
