Steven Hellenbrand Obituary, Death; – The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office announced on Monday the identity of a Waunakee resident who lost his life in a rollover accident on September 29. According to the medical examiner, 30-year-old Steven Hellenbrand succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the incident.
The accident occurred shortly after midnight on the 6500 block of Schumacher Road in the Town of Vienna, resulting in the closure of the road for approximately five and a half hours while officials conducted their investigation. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and authorities report that he was ejected from it during the crash.
Initial findings from a forensic examination indicate that he died from the injuries sustained in the accident, with further testing currently in progress. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office, is continuing to investigate this incident.
