Steven Gutierrez Obituary, Death; – Homicide investigators from the Metro Nashville Police Department have confirmed the identity of the teenager who lost his life in a double homicide on Fields Drive. Authorities reported that 19-year-old Angel Valdez-Nives and 41-year-old Steven Gutierrez engaged in a confrontation during a gathering.
During this altercation, Valdez-Nives allegedly drew a firearm from his waistband and shot Gutierrez multiple times. Gutierrez was subsequently transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Valdez-Nives reportedly fled the scene accompanied by a group of acquaintances but was later taken to TriStar Summit Medical Center with a single gunshot wound. He passed away shortly after his arrival, according to the MNPD. Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding when Valdez-Nives sustained his gunshot wound and the identity of the shooter.
