Stephen Kemp Obituary, Death; – An individual from Irondale lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday night in Birmingham.
On Wednesday, law enforcement officials identified the deceased as 42-year-old Stephen Kemp. Officers from the West Precinct were dispatched around 7 p.m. following reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of Avenue F.
Upon arrival, they discovered Kemp inside a vehicle that had been hit by gunfire. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service transported Kemp to UAB Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
Officer Truman Fitzgerald noted that the investigation is still in its early stages, and no arrests have been made at this time.
