Skylar Scott Obituary, Death; – Nashville authorities have confirmed the identity of a woman who tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle accident on Saturday night in the 4900 block of Clarksville Highway.
Skylar Scott, a 32-year-old resident of Whites Creek, sustained fatal injuries while operating a Nissan Murano in a northbound direction on Clarksville Highway at approximately 8:30 p.m., according to a statement from the Nashville police.
Scott reportedly lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, and collided with an embankment. The vehicle subsequently overturned multiple times, resulting in Scott being ejected from the car, as stated by the police. A passenger in the vehicle escaped with minor injuries and had allegedly urged Scott to reduce her speed prior to the incident.
Scott was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, as indicated in the release. It was noted that neither Scott nor her passenger was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. Authorities have announced that toxicology tests will be performed to assess whether impairment played a role in the crash.
