Shirley Decorte Obituary, Death; – A 66-year-old woman, who was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in downtown Los Angeles, was identified by authorities on Monday.
Officers arrived at the intersection of Third Street and Beaudry Avenue at 4:45 a.m. on Friday after receiving a report of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle, as stated by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victim, identified by the county Medical Examiner’s office as Shirley Decorte, was declared dead at the scene. Her residence has not been revealed, and it remains uncertain whether she was hit on the Harbor (110) Freeway or a nearby surface street.
The California Highway Patrol closed the Third Street exit from the southbound 110 Freeway while the investigation was conducted.
