Sharon Chenoweth,Jamesia M Ruffin Obituary, Death;- A 34-year-old woman was discovered deceased following a garage fire in Dayton that occurred in March.
According to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office, Jamesia M. Ruffin passed away on March 14 due to thermal burns. The manner of her death remains undetermined.
At approximately 6 a.m. on March 14, a 911 caller reported the fire while en route to school.
Dwayne Harbour Jr., aged 34, was declared dead at Miami Valley Hospital.
Two other individuals managed to escape the building prior to the arrival of firefighters and were subsequently transported to the hospital for medical care.
The fire has been classified as accidental, as stated by French.
On January 21, firefighters responded to a fire where individuals were potentially trapped in the 200 block of Grove Avenue.
Rescue teams saved two adults from the roof of a two-story residence. Firefighters attempted to conduct a search inside but were forced to evacuate due to the risk of structural collapse, according to the fire department.
Later, crews discovered 71-year-old Sharon Chenoweth, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Earlier this summer, a 46-year-old man was also found deceased in a house fire in Dayton.
Just before 1:45 a.m. on June 14, firefighters were summoned to a house fire located in the 400 block of Grove Avenue near Leo Street.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy flames on both levels of the residence.
During a search of the home, firefighters located a deceased man, later identified as Enrique Mozo-Baxin.
