Sharmaine Magan Forpahl Obituary, Death;- A 32-year-old mom was fatally stabbed on Thursday in front of her five children. Sharmaine Magan Forpahl died after being stabbed multiple times in front of her five children, ages 7 to 15.
“It hurts because I’ll never hear from her,” said Forpahl’s sister, Sky Harmon. Cleveland Police found Forpahl’s body just steps from her front door. Ciara Drake, Forpahl’s best friend, said she spoke with her just minutes before the attack.
“I was in disbelief because I had just gotten off the phone with Sharmaine and her son, so I couldn’t really believe what I was hearing,” she said. Charles F. Barkley, 44, was arrested and charged with murder.
Forpahl’s youngest son has now lost both of his parents. “He doesn’t really understand that his mom is gone yet, and it’s just so sad,” Harmon said. Forpahl’s family and friends hope to keep her memory alive, especially for her children.
“I’m worried about making sure her memory stays alive for her younger children,” Drake said. “Because when you lose someone that young, eventually memories start to fade.”
