Sebastian Luis Domenech,Aileen Cruz Obituary, Death; – A second person who was found dead inside a home in Southwest Miami-Dade that went up in flames last week was identified on Wednesday.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the victim was identified as 29-year-old Sebastian Luis Domenech.
The fire broke out at the home in the 10800 block of Southwest 67th Drive in Kendall on Friday at around 9 a.m.
When Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, they extinguished the flames and discovered two bodies inside the house.
The other victim was identified as 58-year-old Aileen Cruz.
Neighbors said they saw smoke, then heard the sirens as firefighters responded.
“I see the firemen try to open the shutters, they couldn’t, so they start doing the door. That door over there where you see smoke on the top. Yes. They rip it off from the frame in order to go in,” one neighbor said.
MDSO arson detectives are now investigating the cause of the fire.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will be determining the cause of death.
