Sean Murray Jr,Kameron Garriott Obituary, Death; 2 teenagers killed in Wabash County crash identified

Sean Murray Jr,Kameron Garriott Obituary, Death; – Two teenagers tragically lost their lives in a collision in Wabash County on Sunday. According to the Indiana State Police, the driver, 16-year-old Sean Murray Jr. from Wabash, and his passenger, 19-year-old Kameron Garriott from Andrews, both succumbed to their injuries.

The incident occurred when the vehicle crashed into a tree after departing from County Road 300 West. Murray reportedly lost control of the vehicle after overcorrecting when it veered off the road. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.

On Sunday afternoon, the Indiana State Police provided the following details:

At approximately 8:30 a.m. that morning, an off-duty trooper from the Indiana State Police Peru Post came across a fatal single-vehicle accident in the vicinity of the 5000 block of County Road 300 West in Wabash County.

Initial findings from the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team indicated that a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was heading northbound on County Road 300 West when, for reasons yet to be determined, the vehicle drifted off the west side of the road. The driver overcorrected, lost control, and the vehicle slid sideways, colliding with a tree on the driver’s side.

Both individuals in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene by the Wabash County Coroner’s Office. The deceased driver has been identified as Sean Murray Jr., 16, of Wabash, while the passenger was Kameron Garriott, 19, of Andrews. Notifications to their next of kin have been completed.

The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team received assistance at the scene from troopers of the Peru Post, the Wabash County Coroner’s Office, the Noble Township Fire Department, Wabash County EMS, and Rick’s Towing. The investigation into this incident is still active, and no additional information is available at this time.
