Scott Morris,Elizabeth Fletcher Obituary, Death; – The Fort Walton Beach Police Department responded to a motorcycle accident that resulted in a fire on Thursday. As reported in a news release, the incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. when a motorcycle traveling east on Brooks St. SE collided with a cinder block mailbox.
Upon arrival, officers were able to extinguish the flames and attempted to assist a male and female who were found on the ground, according to officials. The male, identified as 28-year-old Scott Morris from Destin, was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. The female, 28-year-old Elizabeth Fletcher from Valparaiso, was transported to Florida HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, where she was later confirmed deceased.
The Traffic Homicide Unit of the Fort Walton Beach Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into this incident. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact 850-833-9546.
