Scott Hockenberry Obituary, Death; – Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder has reported that a man from Houtzdale lost his life Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Gulich Township. The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Scott Hockenberry.
According to investigators, Hockenberry was driving in the vicinity of Route 153 and Viola Pike when he allegedly veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with a pickup truck. Authorities confirmed that Hockenberry was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
At this time, officials have not verified whether there were any additional injuries. The incident is currently under investigation. Furthermore, the coroner’s office has been summoned to the site of the multi-vehicle crash in Gulich Township.
Coroner Kim Shaffer-Snyder indicated that her office is addressing the fatal incident near Viola Pike and Route 153. As per the PennDOT’s 511 alert page, Route 153 is closed between Allmens and Janesville Road, as well as Fernwood Road. No additional information has been disclosed at this moment, and a news crew from 6 News is en route to the location.
