Savannah Salemme Obituary, Death; – A Dighton teenager who tragically lost her life in a motor vehicle accident in Taunton on Friday evening is being honored as a “loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and best friend,” as stated in a GoFundMe campaign initiated by her uncle.

Savannah Salemme, 18, from Dighton, was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on the evening of Friday, September 19, at 168 Tremont St. in Taunton, according to a written statement released by Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III on Monday morning.

“I am uncertain how our family will manage without her,” remarked Salemme’s uncle, Marc Ellis, in the GoFundMe campaign.
At around 10:13 p.m. on Friday, Taunton Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident at 168 Tremont St., where first responders discovered a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that was completely engulfed in flames, as reported by the DA’s office.

Preliminary assessments indicated that the vehicle had veered off the roadway on Tremont Street, collided with the front porch of the residence at 168 Tremont St., and subsequently rolled into parked vehicles in the home’s driveway.
Ellis mentioned that he set up the GoFundMe, which had accumulated $29,600 of its $16,000 target by Monday afternoon, on behalf of his sister and her husband “to help with the unimaginable loss of their daughter, Savannah.”

He expressed that the purpose of the GoFundMe is “to ensure that the financial burden of losing our cherished Savannah is the last concern that (her parents) have to face during this devastating time.”
