Santos J Wyatt Obituary, Death; – Authorities are conducting an investigation following a mass shooting in Atlanta on Monday that resulted in one fatality and ten injuries.
During a press conference, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and Police Chief Darin Schierbaum reported that at approximately 1:27 a.m. EDT, a group consisting of three men and one woman opened fire on a crowd in the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue, situated in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood of the city.
A 27-year-old man named Santos J. Wyatt was killed as a result of the gunfire, while an unidentified 18-year-old male among the injured is currently in critical condition. All victims are reported to be aged between 18 and 29. The assailants are still at large. Additionally, authorities confirmed that another individual was fatally shot in the city over the weekend, with a total of 29 people having been shot across 12 separate incidents of gun violence in Atlanta.
Police also reported that one person sustained injuries from a gunshot during a dispute in a parking lot located across the street from the site of the mass shooting earlier that same evening.
