Samuel Webster Obituary, Death; – A woman has been apprehended following allegations that she fatally struck a rideshare driver with her vehicle on Tuesday evening.
According to law enforcement, the incident occurred in the Phoenix area, specifically on 40th Street, north of Baseline Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered 31-year-old Jordan Spalding seated in the driver’s position of a car halted adjacent to a canal.
Authorities also located 74-year-old Samuel Webster lying on the ground with severe injuries. He was transported to a medical facility but succumbed to his injuries later. Investigators established that Webster was a rideshare driver who had provided Spalding with a ride, during which a confrontation ensued.
Witnesses reported observing the vehicle come to a stop near the canal, after which both Webster and Spalding exited the vehicle. Subsequently, Spalding entered the driver’s seat and allegedly ran over Webster multiple times, according to police accounts. Spalding has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
