The incident took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, near the intersection of 29th Street East and Clinton Avenue, in close proximity to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, which was in session at that time.

Just one day later, another shooting occurred in south Minneapolis at Annunciation Church and Catholic School, resulting in the deaths of two students and injuries to 21 individuals.

As per court documents, on August 26, Quinn and Martindale picked up a man referred to as “Bino” in Quinn’s vehicle.

“Bino” instructed them to drive him to 29th Avenue South and Clinton Avenue South, where they circled the block twice before “Bino” exited the vehicle wearing a mask and armed with a rifle, subsequently opening fire into a crowd of individuals on the sidewalk, according to the criminal complaint.

Authorities reported that 35-year-old Gregory Doyle Sweeten was killed in the shooting, and six others, including one woman and five men, were taken to the hospital.

According to court documents, following the shooting, Quinn and Martindale dropped “Bino” off on the “northside of Minneapolis.”

Law enforcement officials spoke with a witness who provided dash cam footage of Quinn’s vehicle, which was noted to have no rear license plate; however, officers were able to obtain Quinn’s address from a front license plate, as stated by prosecutors.

“Officers established surveillance at (Quinn’s) address and observed the suspect vehicle arriving shortly after the shooting with the rear license plate re-attached,” the criminal complaint indicated.

The Minneapolis Police Department is encouraging anyone with information regarding the gunman to come forward.
