Ryan Greenwood,Tanya Greenwood Arrested; – A woman from Lincoln is now facing accusations regarding the death of her 4-month-old child, shortly after her husband was taken into custody on suspicion of the same offense.
On August 14, just before 5:30 p.m., officers were summoned to an apartment complex located near 27th Street and Woods Boulevard. Ryan Greenwood, aged 36, dialed 911 to report the demise of his infant daughter.
According to the Lincoln Police Department (LPD), the baby’s mother, 28-year-old Tanya Greenwood, was present at the residence when the baby was discovered deceased.
Investigators from the LPD Special Victims Unit carried out several interviews, gathered physical evidence, and examined video surveillance footage as part of their investigation. The findings indicated that the baby sustained injuries consistent with non-accidental trauma, as reported by the police.
Ryan was apprehended on Tuesday, while Tanya was arrested on Thursday morning. Both individuals are currently held at the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of child abuse resulting in death. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
