Ryan Abels Obituary, Death; – The man killed in a motorcycle crash last week in rural Morton County has been identified.
According to a release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Ryan Abels, 52, of Carson, North Dakota, was southbound on Highway 49 between Glen Ullin and Elgin at approximately 5 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time on Tuesday, May 13. Abels, who was not wearing a helmet, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went off the roadway. He died at the scene, the patrol said.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash. Glen Ullin is 54 miles west of Bismarck.
