Russell Findley,Gabriel Bobbitt Obituary, Death;- Two individuals lost their lives following a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday in Burke County.
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene of the crash on the 800 block of Hancock Landing Road at approximately 7:40 p.m. According to officials, the initial investigation suggests that the driver was heading south at a high rate of speed when they were unable to navigate a curve.
The vehicle subsequently veered off the road and collided with a culvert located in the ditch along the west shoulder. The collision resulted in the vehicle flipping and rolling over multiple times before finally coming to a stop on the same shoulder, as reported by officials.
At the time of the incident, there were two individuals inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, officials report that neither occupant survived the crash.
The sheriff’s office has confirmed the identities of the victims as 49-year-old Russell Findley from Hephzibah and 31-year-old Gabriel Bobbitt from Ball Ground, Georgia.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who perished in this tragic incident,” stated Sheriff Alfonzo Williams.
