Rupak Padini Obituary, – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has reported that a drowning incident at Lake George on Tuesday resulted in one fatality. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Lamb Shanty Bay in Hague.

At approximately 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office received a notification regarding a potential drowning. Marine patrol officers promptly arrived at the location, where they encountered a group of individuals in distress near the shoreline and a pontoon boat. The officers successfully rescued several individuals from the water but soon realized that one person was unaccounted for.

Marine rescue teams subsequently arrived and located the missing individual in the water, where they attempted lifesaving measures. The individual, identified as Rupak Padini, a 25-year-old citizen of India, was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office.

According to deputies, Padini was a college student from Pennsylvania who was visiting the area with friends. The investigation is still active, although deputies have indicated that no watercraft were directly involved in the incident.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office received assistance at the scene from the Lake George Park Commission, North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Company, Hague Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, Bolton Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, as well as LifeNet of New York.
