Roshell Davidson-Smith Arrested; – A woman previously referred to as Jane Doe has now been identified as Roshell Davidson-Smith and is facing charges for allegedly attempting to murder another woman during a knife altercation.
The 26-year-old Davidson-Smith is charged with attempted murder involving a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon. Court documents revealed that Davidson-Smith was initially identified as Jane Doe because she was found unconscious at the scene of the altercation, suffering from a stab wound to her thigh when the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrived.
The incident took place outside a bar on Tropicana Avenue, east of Decatur Boulevard, on Sunday, March 30, at approximately 9:10 p.m. A witness alerted the police about a fight involving multiple individuals and a woman lying on the ground, bleeding profusely, as noted in the court documents.
Davidson-Smith was rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery to address her injuries and is currently held at the Clark County Detention Center.
She is accused of stabbing another woman in the hand. Although the victim initially left the scene, she returned to inform the officers, “She stabbed me.” This woman was subsequently taken into custody due to an outstanding warrant related to prostitution charges.
According to the documents, surveillance footage from nearby businesses captured Davidson-Smith retrieving a knife from her purse and attacking another woman, during which she accidentally stabbed herself and collapsed. A preliminary hearing for Davidson-Smith is set for April 16.
