Roosevelt Simmons,Jacqueline Delyons Obituary, Death; – A father and daughter were discovered deceased with their throats cut inside a residence in Brooklyn over the weekend, according to law enforcement officials.
The bodies of the 91-year-old man and 66-year-old woman were found on the kitchen floor of their two-story family home in Cypress Hills on Sunday afternoon, as reported by the police. The family had resided in the house for over three decades.
A 911 call alerted authorities to the violent scene on Warwick Street. Investigators have identified the deceased as Roosevelt Simmons, commonly referred to as Bubba in the community, and Jacqueline Delyons. Friends noted that Delyons was deeply religious and had been sharing one of the floors of the home with a man in recent years.
While no arrests have been made at this time, police sources informed NBC New York that a suspect is in custody and being interrogated regarding the brutal murders. Neighbors indicated that the individual in custody is a man who also lived in the building. Authorities have not provided additional information regarding a potential suspect or the motive behind the killings.
