Ronald W Duncan Obituary, Death; – A 64-year-old man from San Francisco has been identified as the individual who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Mission District early on Sunday morning.
Ronald W. Duncan succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a car at approximately 2:43 a.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and Rondel Place, in close proximity to the 16th Street BART Station, as reported by San Francisco medical examiners.
Initial investigations suggest that Duncan was “lying in the roadway prior to being struck by the vehicle,” according to SFPD spokesperson Allison Maxie in an email statement. Paramedics transported him to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later passed away, Maxie added.
According to city records, pedestrian fatalities have increased this year compared to 2023, with a total of thirty-three individuals having lost their lives in San Francisco traffic incidents thus far this year.
