Rodney Finley,Tanisha Obituary, Death; – FOX5 has acquired 911 calls related to the shooting incident that resulted in the deaths of two content creators on the Las Vegas Strip on Sunday.

The audio captures the moment when witnesses informed law enforcement officials about the fatal shooting on the Las Vegas Strip. This incident took place outside the Bellagio Hotel & Casino shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday.

“This is an emergency, we’re at the Bellagio. There’s a shooting out here, somebody’s shooting,” one caller reported. “I think someone’s dead … I think someone’s dead because they are performing CPR.” Another caller mentioned the YouTube livestream as the reason for contacting the police.

“I was just watching a live stream on YouTube, and it appears that they were outside across from the Paris. There was a man walking behind the camera, and he drew a gun and began shooting at this individual,” another caller stated. “It’s still live on YouTube right now.”

According to police, Manuel Ruiz, a 41-year-old YouTube creator from Las Vegas, shot and killed Rodney Finley, 44, and his wife, Tanisha, 34. The victims were declared dead at the scene. Hours later, Ruiz turned himself in to Henderson police.

A friend of the Finleys informed FOX5 that the victims were also content creators on the YouTube platform who had been in conflict with the alleged shooter. “This situation has been escalating, it has been building for two years,” remarked Derek Ware, a friend of Rodney, who was known online as “Finny Da Legend.”

The shooting was broadcast live on Rodney’s YouTube account, depicting a woman, later identified as Rodney’s wife, confronting the shooter. Following a brief confrontation, the suspect discharged his weapon.

Ruiz informed Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officials that he acted in self-defense, claiming that Rodney had aggressively reached for his waistband and that Tanisha was holding “a shiny black object in her hand,” which he believed to be a firearm.

Ruiz is facing two counts of open murder in connection with the Finleys’ deaths and remains in police custody without bail. Steve Wolfson, the Clark County District Attorney, stated that prosecutors are considering further actions.
