Rickie Taylor Obituary, Death; – Authorities Friday identified a 27-year-old man who was shot to death in the Coolidge Park neighborhood of Long Beach, and sought public help finding his killer.
Officers with the Long Beach Police Department were called to the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Bort Street around 11:15 p.m. Thursday regarding reports of gunshots and found a man, later identified as Rickie Taylor of Long Beach, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body, LBPD Lt. Gerrit DeJongh told City News Service.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Homicide detectives assumed the investigation, which is ongoing, DeJongh said. There was no suspect information made available and investigators continued working to learn the motive and circumstances involved.
