Ricki Balmer Obituary, Death; – FACT is now investigating after a man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday night.
Police say Ricki Balmer, 68, of South Bend died at the hospital after he was struck by a pickup truck while riding a motorcycle.
The crash happened just after 9 p.m. Saturday night. On SR 933 north of Cleveland Road. Police say Balmer was riding northbound on 933 when a truck crossed in front of the motorcycle. St. Joseph County FACT was not initially notified of the crash but was advised after his death.
The autopsy showed Balmer died from injuries sustained in the crash. Toxicology reports on the driver of the truck are pending. The crash is now under an investigation by St. Joseph County FACT
