Rhylin Skye Ovalle Obituary, Death; – The family of 11-year-old Rhylin Skye Ovalle, a young girl from Apple Valley who tragically lost her life in an accident on Interstate 15, has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral costs.

Remembering Rhylin Skye Ovalle

The deadly accident took place at around 6:49 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, on the northbound side of I-15, just south of Glen Helen Parkway.

As reported by the California Highway Patrol, a white 2000 Ford Expedition, carrying six family members, was traveling in the #2 lane when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the driver executed a sharp left turn. The vehicle collided with the concrete center median and overturned, eventually coming to a stop upright in the southbound lanes.

Family members informed VVNG that the Expedition was occupied by Rhylin, her four siblings, and their parents. Rhylin suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Her siblings and parents were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Two other vehicles—a white Tesla Model 3 and a black Maserati Grecale—were traveling southbound and became part of the accident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the occupants of those vehicles.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, Rhylin’s family has established a fundraising campaign titled Remembering Rhylin Skye Ovalle. The campaign portrays her as “a bright light — full of energy, laughter, and love.”

“She had a passion for music and sports, a profound love for animals, and was utterly enchanted by Hamilton (she knew every word!),” the family shared. “Above all, Rhylin cherished her family and had a beautiful, evolving relationship with God.”

The campaign states that she is survived by three sisters, one brother, and a family that “will never cease to honor her memory.”

“All contributions will be directed entirely toward her funeral expenses,” the statement continues. “Any donation is greatly appreciated, and we express our gratitude for your prayers, love, and support during this exceptionally challenging time.”

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
