Rhonda Harvey Obituary, Death; – Rhonda Harvey, aged 69, from Springhill, Louisiana, tragically lost her life around 9 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025, after being hit by a vehicle on Louisiana Highway 143 in Sterlington. The Louisiana State Police Troop F is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, which occurred near Jaried Road.
Initial findings indicate that a 2009 GMC Sierra was traveling in the right-hand lane heading north on Louisiana 143. At the same time, Harvey, dressed in dark clothing, was walking in the same northbound lane. The circumstances leading to the collision with the GMC are still being examined.
Harvey sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the GMC, who was wearing a seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries, has not been named in the report.
While there is no suspicion of impairment, standard toxicology tests were performed and will be analyzed. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
