Rayanna Lynne Diaz Obituary, Death; – A woman who died following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday evening in Rosemont has been named.
Rayanna Lynne Diaz, 28, from Sacramento, succumbed to her injuries from the crash that occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard, as reported by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Lexus driven by a man and Diaz’s Infiniti collided at the intersection after one of the vehicles ran a red light; it remains unclear as of Monday morning which driver was at fault. Diaz was transported to the hospital, where she later passed away due to her injuries, as stated by law enforcement.
The CHP indicated that a man and a juvenile were present in Diaz’s vehicle at the time of the accident, with the man sustaining moderate injuries and the juvenile suffering minor injuries. Officers reported that the driver of the Lexus was unharmed. Authorities have stated that it is uncertain whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the accident.
