Rayanna L Diaz Obituary, Death; – A driver lost their life in a collision involving two vehicles in Rosemont on Monday evening, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the deceased as 28-year-old Rayanna L. Diaz from Sacramento. As per the CHP, the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard.
Diaz was driving an Infiniti sedan on Kiefer Boulevard heading towards Watt Avenue, accompanied by two passengers, a male adult and a young boy, according to CHP. Meanwhile, a man was operating a Lexus sedan alone on Watt Avenue, and the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Authorities stated that it remains unclear which vehicle may have run a red light. Diaz succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The two passengers in her vehicle sustained moderate to minor injuries.
The driver of the Lexus did not suffer any injuries.
The CHP indicated that it is uncertain whether driving under the influence was a contributing factor in the accident. Officials have not disclosed whether the individuals involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
