Pradesh Ragunauth Obituary, Death; – A 46-year-old man died Sunday night after he was found unresponsive in a pool on Cedar Avenue, police said.
The man who died was identified as Pradesh Ragunauth.
Police were called to the 70 block of Cedar Ave just after 11:15 p.m. for a “report of an accidental drowning,” Wolcott Deputy Police Chief Sara Carrillo said.
At the scene they found Ragunauth in the pool and “unresponsive,” Carrillo said. He was removed and CPR was performed.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Ragunauth passed away,” Carrillo said.
Police are investigating the circumstances, Carrillo said.
The incident marks the latest accidental drowning in the state.
In Shelton, a boy who was pulled from Indian Well State Park last week died on Friday, an official with the state Department of Energy and Environmental protection said.
In Fairfield, a 2-year-old boy nearly drowned and was resuscitated Wednesday, but is not expected to survive, his family said in a GoFundMe to raise money for his funeral.
