Phillip Widner Obituary, Death; – Officials have confirmed the identity of the pilot who tragically lost his life in a plane crash near Norfolk on Monday. As per a statement issued by the Norfolk Police Division, the pilot has been named as Phillip Widner, a 37-year-old resident of Bedford, Texas.
The statement indicates that he was employed by Ameriflight and was in the process of delivering packages to Omaha. He had arrived at the airport at approximately 7:09 p.m. and took off again at 7:35 p.m. The crash occurred around 7:39 p.m., according to authorities. The aircraft involved was a twin-engine Beech C99. Numerous witnesses observed the crash, and the incident is currently under investigation.
