Philip Porter,Cheryle Porter Obituary, Death; – A businessman from Spartanburg and his spouse have been confirmed as the victims of a plane crash that occurred on Saturday afternoon close to the Horry County state line.
Philip Porter, aged 69, and his wife Cheryle, aged 66, lost their lives when a twin-engine Beechcraft aircraft crashed near Old Dothan Road in Tabor City, as reported by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol to News13 on Monday. The flight was intended to land at Grand Strand Airport in North Myrtle Beach.
Flight records indicate that the plane was flying at approximately 250 mph when it descended into a wooded region. According to FAA data, Porter has held a pilot’s certification since 2013.
