Paul Schweizer Obituary, Death; – The coroner of Carbon County has confirmed the identity of the driver who perished when his vehicle ignited following a collision.
According to the Carbon County Coroner’s Office, the incident occurred in Penn Forest Township, specifically at mile marker 83.2 on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, at approximately 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday.
Investigators reported that the driver, identified as Paul Schweizer, 68, from Harveys Lake, was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer, which resulted in his vehicle catching fire. Schweizer was declared dead at the scene, with the cause of death attributed to thermal burns and smoke inhalation.
