Patricia Marse Obituary, Death; – A 46-year-old woman, recognized by her family as Patricia Marse, has tragically passed away following a car accident on Saturday, which was allegedly caused by a man suspected of driving under the influence in southwest Oklahoma City.
The incident occurred after a police chase was initiated in response to reports of a disturbance involving the suspect near Southwest 28th Street and Miller Avenue, as reported by KOCO 5.
Witnesses indicated that the man was driving erratically and performing donuts in the street prior to the arrival of law enforcement. When officers attempted to approach him, he fled the scene, leading to a pursuit that ended with his gray Chrysler 300 colliding with Marse’s vehicle on Southwest 29th Street, according to News 4.
The force of the collision caused Marse’s vehicle to overturn, resulting in her being ejected from the car and sustaining injuries that ultimately proved fatal. Local resident Timothy Greb remarked to News 4, “Many individuals tend to race through this area, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights. This is where numerous accidents occur.”
The suspect was apprehended shortly after the crash and is anticipated to face several charges, including DUI, as reported by News on 6. The Oklahoma City Police Department has not released the suspect’s identity but has confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
