Patricia Duncan Obituary, Death; – A 19-year-old man from Georgia was shot and killed while returning home from the barbershop.
As reported, Jamarion King was on his way home from a barbershop when he was shot. On Wednesday, the Albany police named 20-year-old Kayveon Lyles and 17-year-old Jaquan McIntyre as suspects in the murder. At the time of the shooting, Lyles was on parole, while McIntyre was out on bond for prior offenses.
District Attorney Greg Edwards elaborated on the circumstances surrounding the bond and what the state might recommend in this case.
“Given the individual on parole in this situation, the state’s recommendation, should he be taken into custody again, will likely be no bond or other conditions,” Edwards stated. “As for the individual out on bond, it is quite probable that the DA will suggest no bond, but ultimately, the judge will make the final decision.” Jamarion King’s uncle, Eric King, struggled to hold back tears as he reminisced about his nephew’s 19 years of life.
“I used to keep Jay with me all day, every day, and he was nothing but smiles and respect,” Eric King shared.
Authorities reported that shortly after King was killed, 52-year-old Patricia Duncan was shot and killed on her front porch just hours later. Investigators believe there is a connection between the two incidents.
