Parker Robles Obituary, Death; – Counselors will be present for students at schools in Bedford, Massachusetts on Monday to assist them in coping with the loss of 13-year-old Parker Robles.
Robles was riding an electric dirt bike on Oak Street in Stoneham at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday when investigators reported that he collided with a car. He was immediately transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, where he succumbed to his injuries. According to the Middlesex District Attorney, a 73-year-old driver was making a turn in his Toyota Corolla onto Oak Street when Robles struck the vehicle.
Currently, there are no charges filed in connection with the investigation.
Bedford Superintendent of Schools Cliff Chuang expressed in a letter to families on Sunday that the district is “deeply saddened” by the passing of Robles, who was a student at John Glenn Middle School.
“Counselors will be available on Monday for students and staff at John Glenn Middle School and at Lane Elementary School, where Parker’s brother is enrolled. The principals of these two schools have communicated additional information to families and staff regarding the support services available,” Chuang stated.
A Bedford School Committee meeting that was originally scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled and rescheduled for December 9.
Numerous friends of Robles visited the crash site in Stoneham over the weekend to pay their respects by laying flowers and leaving notes in his honor.
“I can’t believe he’s already gone. He was only 13. Nothing like that should ever happen to a 13-year-old, never in the world,” remarked Georgie Travis, a friend of Robles.
