Noland H Clark Obituary, Death; Coroner identifies man in North Charleston officer-involved shooting

Noland H Clark Obituary, Death; – Charleston County’s coroner has confirmed the identity of a man who was fatally shot during an officer-involved incident last Friday afternoon. Noland H. Clark, a 47-year-old resident of North Charleston, succumbed to a gunshot wound at the scene, which was located at the intersection of Cherokee and Navajo Streets.

The situation unfolded when an off-duty officer stationed at a CARTA bus terminal was informed by bystanders about an individual armed with a firearm, prompting a request for additional support.

Upon locating the individual on Cherokee Street, police reported that he aimed the weapon at them. In response, the officers discharged their firearms, resulting in Clark being hit. Emergency care was administered to Clark immediately; however, he ultimately did not survive his injuries. The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division.
