Noe Chavez Obituary, Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run Monday identified

Noe Chavez Obituary, – The Coroner’s Office of Franklin County has confirmed the identity of a cyclist who tragically lost his life after being hit by a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident early Monday morning in Mifflin Township.

Noe Chavez, aged 46, was declared deceased at 1:20 a.m. on Monday at the emergency department of OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, as reported by the coroner’s office on Thursday.

Chavez was riding his bicycle on Innis Road and was in the process of crossing Westerville Road/Route 3 around 12:46 a.m. when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle heading south on Westerville Road.

Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office have yet to make any arrests; however, they suspect that the vehicle involved in the incident may be a white Chevrolet Suburban SUV exhibiting some damage to its front end.
