Nicola Hines,Alijah Yarabourgh Obituary, Death; – A woman has been identified who was killed Monday in a fiery crash that also injured her two young children.
State troopers say the single-vehicle crash happened around 11:00 a.m. on New Hope Road, near Old Jason Road in Wayne County.
Nicola Hines’ vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree, and caught fire, according to the Highway Patrol.
The 32-year-old La Grange woman died at the scene. Her two children, 3-year-old Alijah Yarabourgh, and 10-year-old Alena Player, were airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center.
Troopers have not said what caused the woman to run off the road.
