Nicholas R Oleski,Justine A Hitchcock Obituary, Death; – Virginia State Police are conducting an investigation into a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 77 North, resulting in the fatalities of two individuals from Ohio.
The incident took place on Tuesday, November 19, shortly before 3 a.m. Nicholas R. Oleski, a 34-year-old resident of Cleveland, Ohio, was driving a 2025 Mercedes Benz CLA250 with a passenger when he veered off the left side of the roadway. Oleski struck the end of a guardrail, subsequently spinning back onto the interstate, where he collided with a 2019 Ford F250.
Following the impact with the Ford, the Mercedes spun again, colliding with a 2023 Volvo VRN tractor-trailer and then a 2025 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, before finally coming to rest off the right side of the interstate.
Nicholas R. Oleski was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His passenger, Justine A. Hitchcock, also 34 years old and from Cleveland, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both individuals were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. The other drivers and passengers involved did not sustain any injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
