Nehemiah McMillion Obituary, Death;- A 12-year-old boy was fatally shot late Sunday night in Winton Hills. Authorities have identified a suspect.
Cincinnati Police reported that the incident occurred just before midnight on Este Avenue in Winton Hills when officers responded to a call regarding a stolen vehicle that had crashed.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a victim in the backseat suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have confirmed the identity of the deceased victim as 12-year-old Nehemiah McMillion. Authorities have also named a suspect, 31-year-old Darius McGrew, who has been charged with murder in connection with McMillion’s death.
Officers at the scene reported that the detained man indicated that others who were in the stolen vehicle fled into the woods. Dispatchers informed the officers that one juvenile had arrived at Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound.
