Neca Denise Lagria Obituary, Death; – The deceased woman discovered at the seaside of South Road Properties (SRP) Road in Cebu City has been positively identified by her family members. Authorities suspect that she was murdered elsewhere and subsequently transported to the SRP location.

Family members expressed deep sorrow upon locating her remains in the morgue of a funeral home on N. Bacalso Avenue shortly after 1 p.m. on November 20, 2024. The victim has been identified as Neca Denise Lagria, a 22-year-old resident of Barangay Yati in Liloan, northern Cebu.

Her family recognized her by her facial features, particularly a notable mole, as well as her work uniform. It has been reported that Lagria was employed at a food establishment within a mall located in Barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

According to her sister, Lagria departed from Liloan early on November 19, 2024, for what was described as a work meeting. Her father accompanied her to an intersection while she awaited public transportation. Unfortunately, she did not return home that day.

The family became concerned when they discovered she had not reported to work, and their attempts to contact her were unsuccessful. Subsequently, they learned through news reports and social media that a woman had been found deceased in Cebu City.

Lagria’s sister stated that she had not been involved in any disputes nor had she received any threats prior to her death. She was the youngest of four siblings. Based on the injuries observed on her neck and the presence of bruising, police suspect that she may have been strangled.

Her body was discovered face down near a sea patrol outpost in Cebu City. Members of the Bantay Dagat Commission reported that they did not witness any disturbances in the area; however, some individuals noted a vehicle stopping nearby around 4 a.m.

Upon investigation, authorities found evidence in the sand suggesting that something had been dragged. Police have confirmed that the victim had a neck wound, and the bruising is likely consistent with strangulation. Police Lt. Col. Antonietto is overseeing the investigation.
