Nathaniel Young Obituary, Death; – A second person has been arrested in a New Year’s Day shooting that occurred in the early hours of Jan. 1.
Birmingham Police say detectives have obtained warrants for 22-year-old Armarious Anderson in connection to the shooting and killing of 23-year-old Nathaniel Young. Police say Anderson also fired shots at a K-9 officer.
Authorities say they have obtained warrants for
capital murder and three counts of attempted murder for Young. Cornelius Dontae Houston, 30, was the first person arrested in connection the shooting. Birmingham Police say they, along with the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, arrested Houston Thursday, Feb. 13. Detectives also obtained warrants for capital murder and three counts of attempted murder for Houston.
Both suspects will be held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
