Nacere Ellis Obituary, Death;- A 16-year-old boy riding a Phantom E-scooter died after a 79-year-old woman crashed her car into him on June 29, according to the DOT.
Police said it happened near College and Jewett avenues around 2:30 p.m. The woman was driving a Hyundai Tucson going west on College Avenue when she hit the teenager, who had crossed over from the eastbound to westbound lanes, according to authorities.
Police said the 16-year-old, identified as Nacere Ellis, suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital. He later died on July 2, according to authorities.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. The woman stayed at the scene after the crash, according to authorities.
