Michael Franklin,Eric Stephens Obituary, Death; – Rochester police have identified the two men shot to death on the front porch of a Wolff Street residence last week.
The two slain men are Michael Franklin, 55, and Eric Stephens, 58, and are both Rochester residents, said Capt. Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department. Stephens lived at 23 Wolff St., the house where he was shot and killed around 11:30 p.m. on May 15. Franklin lived nearby, in the same neighborhood, according to police.
Both men were shot in their upper bodies and were pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed in connection with the double shooting, which marked Rochester’s tenth and eleventh homicides of 2025, according to RPD’s Open Data Portal. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that preceded the double homicide.
