Michael Feldmann Obituary, Death; – Michael Feldmann, aged 26, has been confirmed as the individual who lost his life in the accident that occurred on Wednesday, December 4, according to a spokesperson for NJ Transit on Monday, December 16.
The incident took place when a North Jersey Coast Line train struck Feldmann on the Normandy Road bridge in Middletown at approximately 7:25 a.m. Fortunately, none of the 120 passengers and crew members aboard the train sustained any injuries.
The train had departed from Long Branch station at 7:10 a.m. and was expected to reach New York Penn Station by 8:41 a.m. As emergency personnel responded to the situation, rail service on the North Jersey Coast Line was halted in both directions between Long Branch and Aberdeen-Matawan. The investigation is being conducted by NJ Transit police.
