Michael Edward Clemons Obituary, Death; – A 48-year-old man was apprehended in Maryland following the alleged murder of his stepson.
According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting shortly after midnight on Wednesday at a residence located on Huntt Road in La Plata. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Darshan Eric Williams outside the residence where the incident had occurred.
After Williams was taken into custody, authorities located the 15-year-old victim, identified as Michael Edward Clemons, unconscious and not breathing within the home. The teenager, who was the stepson of Williams, was declared deceased at the scene by law enforcement officials.
Investigators have indicated that Williams shot his stepson following a dispute over the teenager’s failure to complete household chores. Williams is currently being held at the Charles County Detention Center, facing charges that include second-degree murder and first-degree assault. The sheriff’s office has stated that the investigation remains ongoing.
