Michael Demarsico Obituary, Death; – The identity of the pedestrian who tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Sunday in Adams has been disclosed.
At approximately 5:12 p.m., law enforcement officials responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on Route 8, situated near the boundary between Adams and North Adams. According to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, it appears that the individual had parked his vehicle and subsequently crossed the four-lane roadway to reach a nearby restaurant.
The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Michael Demarsico, a resident of North Adams, who succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
The District Attorney’s office has confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was not impaired by alcohol at the time of the incident. Assistance was provided by members of the Adams Police, Northern Berkshire EMS, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS), and the Berkshire State Police Detective Unit, which is assigned to the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office.
