Micah Clantz Obituary, Death; – A 30-year-old man who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle while walking on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Santa Fe Springs was named by authorities on Tuesday.
CHP officers arrived at 8:56 p.m. on Friday at the southbound freeway and the Telegraph Road off-ramp, where they discovered a white Honda sedan positioned near the center divider and the victim lying adjacent to the HOV lane, as reported by CHP Officer Megan Curtis to City News Service.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. On Tuesday, he was identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office as Micah Clantz. The CHP closed the HOV lane and two additional freeway lanes during the investigation.
